afrol News partner media: Gender Links

Gender Links Opinion and Commentary Service (GLService) is a Johannesburg-based agency "committed to a Southern Africa in which women and men are able to realise their full potential and participate equally in all aspects of public and private life." As the name says, the agency's news service focuses on gender issues, mostly covering Southern Africa in English language.

Gender Links provides mainstream media around the world with fresh views and voices on current affairs, aiming at creating greater awareness about gender issues in the media. Teaming up with afrol News, Gender Links thus reaches out to a considerable part of Africa's independent press. It provides on average 10 articles each month from writers across Africa, often very highly profiled women. Gender Links always looks for new contributors!

afrol News does not directly cooperate with Gender Links. We however receive and distribute the agency's news feed with an aim to increase gender related coverage in the African press at large. afrol News has worked with Gender Links since October 2006.
